The image below shows the Florida Technique and works extremely well, attracting a lot of bites. There is quite and art to setting this way. It takes a lot of patience as it takes 12-15 minutes to set this without tangles. If you drop too fast the bait will come up and tangle around the line – if you get a tangle the fish will not bite. If takes a few attempts to get this right and expect some frustration to start with but once you get the knack of setting it works very well. You need to keep the boat ticking forward very slowly while deploying the bait and let the bait down very slowly.
